A pot of gold in the front yard?

It’s not often you see a rainbow in your own front yard. We were sitting on the front porch appreciating a thunderstorm the other day, and noticed this one as the sun started to break through.

The rainbow connection

Red-necked pademelons live in the forest and come out to feed just there – maybe they are really leprechauns in disguise, guarding their pot of gold.

Wonderful to know you have wild animals in your local area. In Sydney, we are getting a mixed bag: plenty of rabbits infesting our local bushland and coming into our yards; but also long-nosed bandicoots, which were once endangered, but have made a come back. You actually have to watch out for them under your tyres when you drive off.

One of those ephemeral moments, well seen and caught
